This report describes the findings of a qualitative evaluation of the SAFE Demonstration Project at Ridge Hospital in Accra, Ghana. The project assessed the safety, acceptability, feasibility, and program effort (SAFE) associated with providing visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) and treatment with cryotherapy in a single visit as a means of managing precancerous cervical lesions, and involving nurses and midwives in treatment and referral.
