In the health care field, service delivery refers to the delivery of services to clients or patients—whether in the home, the community, or a health care facility (e.g., rural health post, outpatient clinic, inpatient setting, health care provider’s private office). These services may involve hands-on treatment by a health care provider (either preventive or curative), screening for diseases, counseling, and any other services that a person receives in the pursuit of health.
